Meet our Governors

Rebecca Wheater - Co-Chair of Governors; Teaching & Learning Committee

I am a parent of one girl at the school. My first experience of North Harringay was the summer fairs, and I loved the obvious strong community and was always impressed by the pupils and, in particular, their performances.
I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to contribute to the school. I am a researcher for an education charity. Much of my work focuses on pupils’ learning outcomes and the things which contribute to them, and
I am currently working on a study of the impact of missed learning during Covid on pupils in Key Stage 1.
I have experience of developing primary and secondary assessments in science and maths. I am excited to support the school in continuing to thrive and provide all its pupils with the opportunity to have the best possible outcomes.

Ben Horton - Co-Chair of Governors; Resources Committee

I currently work at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, among other things deliveringB Horton
our 'next generation' youth activities. Having lived in the borough since 2018, I joined the NHP governing board as a co-opted governor in 2021. It's been wonderful to witness the hard work of staff and fellow governors in this amazing school. I look forward to supporting the team, in particular to maintain the great reputation of NHP in the area.

Beth Hinde - Teaching & Learning Committee; HTPM

I joined the Governing Body at NHP in October 2017 and became Co-Chair in September 2019 and Chair in Sept 2021. I sit on the Teaching and Learning Committee. I have lived in the borough for 9 years and have two children at the school. I have a background in policy development and lobbying and wanted to use these skills to support and champion NHP and the local community.  I’m very proud to be a representative of an amazing school that delivers education in a vibrant and diverse environment.

Helen Kuczerska - Resources Committee
I grew up in Haringey and moved back several years ago with my family. Currently all four of my children are at NHP across KS2, KS1, EFFS and Nursery. I joined the governing body in 2017 as a co-opted governor and was Chair from 2018-2021, working alongside Beth Hinde. I work as the HR Director at an Independent School and bring this knowledge and experience, as well as my background in finance and operational management to the resources committee. I am also the Health and Safety Governor. I really enjoy being able
to add value to the board and love the opportunity to be involved in my children's school.

Tracy Goldblatt – Chair of HTPM
I became a Community Governor at NHP in 2009 I have lived in Haringey for 25 years and my 2 sons went to local Primary and Secondary schools. I believe passionately a good primary education set children up for life! During my time as governor I have played an active part in helping North Harringay become a “good school with outstanding leadership”. My 30 years experience working in primary education has been invaluable for this role. From a primary teacher to Ofsted inspector and now a teaching and learning consultant for Camden have given me the skills to support and challenge the school. I thoroughly enjoy being a governor at North Harringay, and being part of a thriving and enthusiastic school community.

Colin Peacock – Chair of Resources Committee; HTPM
I have been a governor for over ten years. Today, I chair the Resources Committee and sit on the Head Teacher Performance Management panel. I am very proud to be a governor, and for the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of the school, a school that gave all three of my children a fantastic start to education, and I hope also yours.
Outside of school, I work in the consumer goods sector, acting as a research director for industry associations in Europe and USA. Prior to these roles, I worked at the Procter & Gamble Company, for over 30 years in multiple roles in sales, marketing and supply chain. Finally, I am a big supporter of the Arsenal Football Club.

Ellen Hewings - Teaching & Learning Committee

I have been a parent at North Harringay for seven years, with children now in years four and six. I have been a governor twice before, firstly for a primary school in Hackney, and then on the transition board of Moselle School in Haringey. I work for a suicide prevention charity, and sit on the Mayor of London's taskforce on child obesity. I was a Trustee of a children's heart charity and an addiction charity. I am really pleased to join the governing body, and to have the chance to do what I can to support the school, which has given both my children such a great start.

 Edward Dewhirst - Resources Committee

Having lived in Haringey for over 10 years, I was very pleased when my eldest (now KS1)
joined NHP.  To see the incredible impact the school has had on him and other students
fuelled my desire to be involved.  I was therefore very proud to be appointed as a governor in 2021 and look forward to contributing to the school’s continued success.  My background is in banking and finance and I hope to bring some of this experience to add value to the governing body.  My hope is that the governing body can help the school continue to have a positive influence and am excited to be working with them and the wider school community.

Martyn Fawdry - Resources CommitteeMF

I moved with my partner to Harringay in 2014 and wanted to give back to our vibrant, diverse community.  My professional background is in Financial Services, most recently working at the Cooperative Bank and Post Office.  I've always enjoyed using my experience to make a difference in other areas such as when I was a STEM ambassador, sponsoring a graduate scheme and before to that I was an English teacher abroad.  As governor I want support the school so that it can continue to achieve its potential.

Gill Morris - Chair of Teaching & Learning Committee

Gill Morris

I am delighted to have just joined the governing body as an LA governor. I have a great
interest and commitment for education and the health and wellbeing of children and young people. I have over 30 years’ experience of working in a local authority supporting and advising schools with health and wellbeing and 10 years of being a Trustee for a national education charity, and I hope that the knowledge and skills I have gained will be of benefit to the school. My children were very happy in their Haringey schools and I’ve always wanted to offer more support to schools. I am looking forward to working with the school and helping achieve the best possible outcomes for all children.
