Rebecca Wheater - Co-Chair of Governors

I am a parent of one girl at the school. My first experience of North Harringay was the summer fairs, and I loved the obvious strong community and was always impressed by the pupils and, in particular, their performances. I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to contribute to the school. I am a researcher for an education charity. Much of my work focuses on pupils’ learning outcomes and the things which contribute to them, and I am currently working on a study of the impact of missed learning during Covid on pupils in Key Stage 1. I have experience of developing primary and secondary assessments in science and maths. I am excited to support the school in continuing to thrive and provide all its pupils with the opportunity to have the best possible outcomes.

Gill Morris - Co-Chair of Governors

Gill Morris

I am delighted to have just joined the governing body as an LA governor. I have a great interest and commitment for education and the health and wellbeing of children and young people. I have over 30 years’ experience of working in a local authority supporting and advising schools with health and wellbeing and 10 years of being a Trustee for a national education charity, and I hope that the knowledge and skills I have gained will be of benefit to the school. My children were very happy in their Haringey schools and I’ve always wanted to offer more support to schools. I am looking forward to working with the school and helping achieve the best possible outcomes for all children.

Ben Horton

I currently work at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, among other things delivering B Hortonour 'next generation' youth activities. Having lived in the borough since 2018, I joined the NHP governing board as a co-opted governor in 2021. It's been wonderful to witness the hard work of staff and fellow governors in this amazing school. I look forward to supporting the team, in particular to maintain the great reputation of NHP in the area.

Tracy Goldblatt
I became a Community Governor at NHP in 2009 I have lived in Haringey for 25 years and my 2 sons went to local Primary and Secondary schools.
I believe passionately a good primary education set children up for life! During my time as governor I have played an active part in helping North Harringay become a “good school with outstanding leadership”. My 30 years experience working in primary education has been invaluable for this role. From a primary teacher to Ofsted inspector and now a teaching and learning consultant for Camden have given me the skills to support and challenge the school. I thoroughly enjoy being a governor at North Harringay, and being part of a thriving and enthusiastic school community.

Martyn Fawdry MF

I moved with my partner to Harringay in 2014 and wanted to give back to our vibrant, diverse community.  My professional background is in Financial Services, most recently working at the Cooperative Bank and Post Office.  I've always enjoyed using my experience to make a difference in other areas such as when I was a STEM ambassador, sponsoring a graduate scheme and before to that I was an English teacher abroad.  As governor I want support the school so that it can continue to achieve its potential.
