Wellbeing
At North Harringay Primary we recognise the importance of supporting the social, emotional and mental health of our children. Happy children learn best. We have various different strategies that we use, for example:
-we promote a growth mindset approach to learning across the curriculum
-our experienced Pastoral Care Lead works closely with our children on a day-to-day basis
-our School Counsellor utilises different forms of therapy to support our children
-as children approach Year 6 and prepare for transition to secondary school, all children are assigned a mentor to provide an additional layer of wellbeing support
Trail Blazer initiative
Trailblazers (a branch of the NHS) have delivered highly valued support, collaborating with schools across Enfield and Haringey to implement a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing. These services have seen sustained growth year on year, and by January 2026, the NHS aim to extend coverage to all schools across the two boroughs. North Harringay Primary School continue to work closely with Trailblazers.
